Family Festival at Andrews AFB

These are pictures from over the weekend. We went to the Family Festival on base. The kids had a great time. Sometimes it seems like it would be easier to just stay home. With having three kids, leaving the house to go anywhere can take forever and it gets frustrating. Before we can even pull out of the garage we need sippy cups, diapers, sunscreen, change of clothes, stroller, and snacks. It sounds like we're heading on a road trip, but we're not. Sometimes I miss the days of just hoping in the car and not having to think about those things. I know someday our kids will be older and we'll miss these days, right? It's hard to imagine. We almost stayed home from the Family Festival because it would've been easier, but I'm glad we didn't do that. Look at the fun memories we created with our kids.

Little Lincoln

Center of attention

DJ was in the living room playing with Lincoln and enjoying his quiet time alone with his baby brother when our two year old Noah walked into the room and wanted to get in on the action. Tom was in the another room of the house and overheard DJ say to Noah, "Sorry Noah, you're not the center of attention anymore. Lincoln is." I guess DJ put Noah in his place.

National Zoo in DC

My mom has been here for the past several months. She's been helping me with the three boys while Tom was in Afghanistan (again). I don't know how I would've survived without her! With homeschooling DJ, making our way through the terrible twos with Noah, and then taking care of a newborn, having my mom here has been invaluable. Tom came home last week!! Yeah!! These pictures are just a few weeks old, but I wanted to post them anyway. My mom and I took the boys into DC and went to the National Zoo. It was a beautiful, fun day.
