Time for another road trip.

Time for another weekend road trip around Sicily! Now we're traveling with our family of six (right now it's seven with Grandma Diane visiting from Arizona). These pictures are from last weekend when we drove to Caltagirone, which is famous for it's 142 stairs each hand-painted with a different design. There's much more history about this town but I honestly can't remember it. I normally would've written a few facts from our tour guide book to impress you but Tom has it in the car, and he took everyone (except for me) on another road trip today. Yes, I'm home alone!!!!! Oops, I mean Max and I are home alone!!!! Tom and my mom are giving me (and Max) the house to myself for the day!!! Can you tell how excited I am? Here are some pictures from last weekend.

We're on our way.

We made it!

Grandma Diane and the boys on the famous stairs.

I walked some of the stairs but didn't make it far because it was feeding time for Max. I would've liked to walk all the way up. Oh well, maybe next time! There were cute shops as you walked up the staircase. Tom, Lincoln, and DJ made it all the way up and back. Noah stayed with Grandma Diane, Max, and I near the bottom.

Family shot.

We (Tom) actually drove our Honda Pilot through this street. I thought we were going to get stuck! I still can't believe we made it through with no (new) scratches!

We had just finished up our Gelato and Lemon Granita. Now everyone is waiting for me to finish feeding Max. Sometimes it's tough getting out and traveling with a newborn, but in the end I think it's worth it. It's much more fun to get out of the house and see the island rather than stay home.

Noah giving Lincoln a kiss. They do love each other (sometimes).

Please, no more pictures!

DJ is a great big brother. You'll notice that this is the last picture of DJ on this post. The reason - he's outside ALL the time playing with his friends. We moved to base housing about a month ago, and he is loving it. We hardly ever see him during the days.

Lincoln seriously LOVES Max. He's always doing the sign language for "please" when he's asking to hold his new baby brother. How can I resist? Please, I hope this lasts forever! A mom can dream, right?

Our yard was in pretty bad shape when we moved in. Lots of weeds and dead grass. Tom has worked hard, and it's amazing how much better it looks. I'll post some pictures of our base house soon.

The two little brothers fell asleep together.

Our sweet Max.
